Cat Cora used to live and work in SF. I bet she'll do good but I'm on team Phan of course!

That's one of my favorite shows. I really admire what Chef Phan has done. Would love to have a meal at Slanted Door someday. Do you believe how long ago they taped this show?

Phan Fan -- love your avatar! I'll pass it on to Charles.

Jai -- They filmed the episode in July 2008. Wonder how come they didn't air it till now?

Maybe Mario thought he was stuffing cannoli? =)
I can't wait to see what the secret ingredient is. Thanks for the link, my dear!

Hello
I have checked that sites for detail which you have given.I will definitely watch the show this weekend.Thank you very much for sharing this with us.

Mario Batali had just been to Vietnam and was so excited about Vietnamese food that he well -- rolled a fatty -- but in that charming Batali way.

You're welcome folks for the link.

I'm not too crazy about the American Iron Chef. I think half of the so called American Iron Chef are a disgrace to the show's name and I'm sure some of you know who I'm talking about. They lack creativity and the spirit of the original Iron Chef. Is there not one thing that this "Iron Chef" does not toss into the grill? Tamales as gourmet food? Come on!! Your Tex-Mex style is getting old now! Make something more creative! Make the show live up to the original Iron Chef from Japan. If they changed the format where they're given 3 or 4 possible secret ingredients ahead of time and 1 is picked in the studio then I think the show would have been better. Maybe that is my biased opinion but ever since the original iron chef was replaced with this I've stopped watching it. There is no point to waste my time with mediocrity when the show could have been so much more.

David -- I have to agree with you. I love how the Japanese version is comical whereas the American version of Iron Chef is overly serious. The "Chairman's nephew" isn't really. I've seen that man in a B movie role.

Maybe they should bring a few psychics on the show as judges? That would liven things up! New York is full of psychics so the Food Network shouldn't have a problem finding people to audition.

I have read the article based on the Charles Phan.I like post very much as it contain informative knowledge. I have to agree with you. I love how the Japanese version is comical whereas the American version of Iron Chef is overly serious.I want to know more suggestion from others.

Thank your for display me so amazing idea inside your blog. I am especially gree with you. Your viewpoint is terrific. In our lives, there exists absolutely nothing can beat us.
