is not an exhaustive list of sites, but merely some that I think
may intrigue you. Some are bilingual (Vietnamese and English) and
some are strictly for Viet speakers. Here's how they're organized:

A rich pan-Asian website full of of cultural information. There's a strong
focus on food and cooking. Many of the Vietnamese recipes here are from
published cookbooks, The Classic Cuisine of Vietnam and The
Foods of Vietnam. They are identical to the ones at the ivietbusiness.com
site, but are much better presented.
Chot
Nho
A lively recipe forum conducted in Vietglish. A small number of recipes
are in English. Lots of interesting information can be gleaned from this
site, including how to make your own soy sauce!
Earthcare.com
From an Australian nursery comes this recipe collection based on exotic
plants available at the nursery. The botanical information is interesting
and the Vietnamese recipes give a perspective from down under.
GoCEE
Viet
Aside from having links to sites on Vietnamese cooking, GoCEE Viet offers
a comprehensive listing of sites related to Vietnam and Vietnamese people
in America. Use the left-hand sidebar to navigate through the amazing
list of resources.
Introduction
to Vietnamese Cooking
Built by KSVN, the first Viet-language radio station in America, these
pages offer interesting descriptions of popular Vietnamese dishes. Though
no recipes are included, the text offers insights on Vietnam's cultural
traditions. Users have to negotiate a few grammar and spelling errors,
but the site's worth it.

Source
Previously known as the SOAR site from UC Berkeley, Recipe Source offers
a wealth of cooking knowledge from all over the world. Their Vietnamese
recipes number around 100 as of May 2003.
Tu
Vy
The recipes and short introduction are from Duong Thi Thanh Lien's cookbook
Vietnamese Dishes (1973). A bit outdated, this cookbook was one
of the first Vietnamese cookbooks to be written in English. Tu Vy is a
site that promotes Asian books and literature.

Here's a page with information on Vietnamese culinary traditions. No recipes,
just very interesting copy.

A portal for Vietnamese culture, the site includes recipes that users
have submitted. Use the "topics" links to access the recipes
and cooking instructions, which are in Vietnamese.

An interesting compilation of authentic Vietnamese recipes that's unfortunately
only for users who can read and understand Vietnamese. Note that cooking
measurements are metric.

Que Viet Nam (in Vietnamese only)
This website from Hanoi contains articles on traditional life in northern
Vietnam. In the "Huong Vi Lang Que" section, there are several
articles on rural Vietnamese cooking methods and foodways.

Thuc Vietnam (in Vietnamese only)
Want to know about the current food scene in Vietnam, go here! The site
is self-described as a "huge and complete directory of bars, restaurants,
